Ricardo Silvarinho joined AES in 2008 as head of Human Resources at AES Eletropaulo, in Brazil and is currently in charge of the Vice Presidency of Human Resources at AES for South America. His achievements include the creation of a solid HR governance and communication process to support the companies to achieve high quality standards recognized by the National Quality Foundation (FNQ Award).

His professional beginnings were at General Electric Company (GE) where he worked for 16 years in different executive roles as Compliance Officer and Head of HR for Latin America.

In 2010 he was promoted to Director of HR for all AES businesses in Brazil (AES Eletropaulo, AES Tiete, AES Atimus and AES Sur) and in 2015 he left the company to join LATAM Airlines, returning to AES in 2016 as VP Global Talent & Development.

Ricardo is a lawyer from the Universidad Católica de Petrópolis, with an MBA in Management from the same University and has a Post Graduation, Neuroscience and Human Behavior, PUCRS – Pontificia Universidad Católica do Rio Grande do Sul.
