Enrique is an industrial engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and an MBA specialized in Project Management from CEU Business School. He also completed a leadership program at the Wharton School and IMD Business School. He has more than 16 years of experience in the energy sector and particularly in renewable energy.

Before joining AES, he worked for investment funds first in Europe and then in Latin America, participating in the development, financing and execution of solar and wind projects.

In 2017, he joined AES as Director of Business Development in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, where he led the successful growth of various projects, both renewable generation and natural gas infrastructure.

In April 2022, Enrique assumes the role of Vice President of Business Development for the markets of Chile, Colombia and Argentina.
